How To Turn Off Antialaising On Ms Paint
I've always used MSPaint whenever I needed to make some quick graphics for games and stuff. It'due south just perfect for pixelart, because information technology's and so easy utilise and doesn't crave any fourth dimension to larn, unlike well-nigh other photoediting applications out there. It was getting really old, and then I was happy to see that Microsoft fabricated an updated version.
However, I wasn't and so happy to run across that they put a smoothing anti-aliasing characteristic on every shape and castor except the pencil. This is no good when making pixel-art.
Commencement I checked the assistance-file in the program. (Guess what.. no luck.)
Then I searched the internet and came up with a bunch of solutions, like installing the onetime version (I did this and it crashed on saving) or turning off antialiasing for all of windows (doesn't work for this purpose).
To cut it short: Here's how you lot remove it.
Run across the shape box? Click the picayune "more"-button in the lower correct corner and it will nowadays the option....
I promise you lot found this useful. I felt kind of stupid when I institute it.. ;-)
UPDATE:
Since I wrote the above, I have made a consummate reinstall of my pc. Turns out that Microsoft has removed the selection all together in the actual release of Windows 7. I was using the trial while writing the former.
They removed antialiasing on all the shapes, but it'due south still on the brush tool. With no pick to turn it on or off.
I tried running the one-time version of MSPaint from XP/Vista, with no luck.
Thank you Microsoft. :-(
